xPLRioNet v3.1 Released

Hi all,

Have published v3.1 of xPLRioNet at www.xplhal.com

This is the last release (barring any urgent bug fixes) before ukha2004.
Remaining items on the 'to do' list will be actioned after ukha2004.

This version now supports osd menu and status messages on any xPL enabled
OSD device/app for the rio and exstreamer.
(have had both rio and exstreamer displaying their menu on a slimp3 too)

Rio.bin now has a larger buffer (increased to 63kb today), to allow for
rio's connected wirelessly & 320kbs files (hopefully).

At the next scan & purge it will fix up the problem with Genre's
being out
by 1 - for tracks with id3v1 tags

For those with exstreamers with ir remote control kits there is a modified
exstreamerapp.cob and rescue.bat. This is needed to turn off local
exstreamer actioning of remote control, and pass them to xplrionet. You
need
to download the latest firmware kit (known as rescue kit) from
www.barix.com
and drop these 2 files into the folder. Then update your exstreamer. The
remote kit is excellent, as it passes all sorts of remotes (all the ones
i've tried so far anyway) thru to the xpl network. Combined with an OSD you
get a menu identical to the rio.

A modified version of John's xpllib control is now built-in, and new
clients
will self-configure without the need to use a xplhal/config manager.

It also contains a number of important fixes/changes for the rio receiver
(fix to mute display, problems with menu etc)

There is also a new version of tivoosd on the website that fixes an issue
where it did not process osd.basic messages correctly (normally use
osd.tivo
anyway)
