Had a look at the ethereal log you sent me. The browser request was
different to what I've seen previously but I hardcoded the request into the
server and it still works fine.

If you can try running the latest beta with your current settings and rio
support switched off (rio="N") this will prevent all other
modules loading,
and basically only the web server will be running.

I'm hoping the problem is that the software is blocking somewhere amongst
this code, as otherwise I'm totally stumped.

Also, prior to starting the service, can you do a 'netstat -an' to check
that none of the ports referenced in xplrionet.xml are already in use
please?
