xPLRioNet Beta Released

  • Subject: xPLRioNet Beta Released

Hi all,

Steve and myself are pleased to announce that xPLRioNet Beta 1.0 is
available for download at www.xplhal.com (there's a link on the left hand
menu)

Main features are

.net service,
provides dhcp/portmap/mount/ssdp/nfs services to boot rio receivers,
fully xpl enabled (including hub),
scanner processes approximately 1000 tracks a minute on a 1ghz cpu,
scanner also produces pronto and pronto pro csf files,
rather than scrolling thru menu's, the pronto uses a shortcut key sequence
(save's space and it's fast),
user changeable real-time web interface for server and clients,
web interface will display cover art (if provided) for playing track,
text-to-speech in conjunction with xplriotts,
tivo osd display of menus (to be expanded for other osd devices),
synchronisation in development,
slimp3/squeezebox support in development

Feedback on problems and feature requests would be greatly appreciated

Please refer to the readme file for instructions on installing and
configuring, and supported xpl commands etc

Please note that the web interface relies on xpl and therefore you must
have
a hub running (hence the included hub)

Regards
Tony
