RE: XPLHAL CONFIG PROBLEM

Devices with a start instance of default are a special case actually.

No config information is (should be) stored for .default devices, so they
should always come up as a new device waiting config. How xplhal has
managed
to relate a .default to the previous instance is odd.

Can you zip up your data folder for me and send this offlist?
