It's a Hauppauge Media MVP:

There are a number of Ethernet-based devices out there for playing audio
(and videos in the case of the MVP).
Each of these devices usually requires it's own server software.
The idea behind xPLRioNet is to provide a single piece of server software
that can power a variety of different Ethernet-connected media players,
including the Rio, the SliMP3, the ExStreamer and the Media MVP.
And as a bonus, it's all controllable via xPL :-)
