Asterisk...

Well, it's my turn to ask the questions I guess...

I have so far spent in excess of 15 hours trying to get an asterisk
system up and running - I'm guessing that the asteriskathome ISO is
tuned for some pretty specific hardware, as it's pretty much a no go on
any platform I have tried.

On the C3 mini itx, Centos barfs during install, on Pentium 3 with an
intel BX chipset, I get a kernel panic,

On Athlon XP with a Via chipset mobo, it kernel panics, on Athlon XP
with Intel it installs okay, but freezes stone dead during boot. On
Athlon on SiS, install complains about an unsupported architecture.

So, about seven different mobos, four different procs and nothing :

I'm now resorting back to building it manually (despite burning many
hours trying to get it to work this way last time!) and have a quick
question - is there any way to just get all the damned dependencies in
one go?

I'm spending so much time downloading rpms (and each time, all it does
is ask for another four damn dependencies!!!) it's driving me nuts.

There has to be an easier way.

Ian.
