I think you can already achieve what you want:

There is an action: "Write to the error log", which you can put
in your determinator to write any string of text you want to the xPLHal
error log - very useful for debugging.
(You can view the error log by right-clicking on the name of your xPLHal
server in the tree and selecting "View error log")

However, I've just realised that it doesn't work... there is nowhere for
you to enter the text you want writing to the log!
Ah well, another bug to fix...
