[OT] PC Help

Hi All
Sorry for the OT post but im sure someone can help....
I have adsl broadband using a usb speedtouch modem......It appears to drop
out regulary and for some reason after this happens my usb / serial device
drops off as well as the usb uirt and  it appeared that my mss units (which
are on the network) also dropped out as i had to restart the apps on
them.....I thought maybe my usb hub hasnt got enough current to drive the
hardware but why would it knock out the mss units ???
Any ideas??
