warning regarding mss100

Hi all,

While looking at a problem for Frank it turn's out the lantronix mss100
doesnt like being closed and re-opened from visual basic.

Although an application that uses an mss100 port open's ok, when you try to
configure it the xpl app (based on xpl_devcom) closes and reopens the com
port regardless of whether the com port (or any of it's settings) has
changed and the application totally hangs with a PC reboot seemingly the
only way to stop it.

Although xpl_devcom (and app's based on it) can be changed to _not_
close/open the com port if the com port number (or any settings) hasn't
been
changed, this doesn't help when you _do_ want to change the com port or any
of it's communication settings (if the app allows that)...

Anyone got any thoughts/experience on/of this please?

Thanks
Tony
