Hi all,
Have just published the latest beta at www.xplhal.com
This version add's support for scanning and transcoding WMA and WAV music
files.
As well as the install or update package you also need to download the
helpers package (on the same page) if you want to use wma or wav.
Create a folder in the main installation folder called "Helpers"
(without
the quotes) and extract the helpers.zip into this (it seems you must, for
some odd reason, have windows media player v9 installed on the pc for wma
support to work).
Those who are updating from xplrionet v3.7, or later, only need the
xplrionet.exe and transcode.xml files & helper package.
The transcode.xml file contains the commands used for transcoding and also
contains the layout for defining your wav file structures.
I'd like to thank John for all his work and input on this latest update.
Regards
Tony
P.S. The transcode.xml contains the commands for the transcoding so you can
adjust wmadec and lame settings to your tastes (you can specify settings
for
all devices or per device type by setting device=*/rio/slim/exstr/player).
Only try this if you know what you are doing though and do not
remove/change
the default settings.
