Actually, it's useful if you have some units that use line out and some
that don't
but you're just about to say ...

.. so, yes, I agree, each unit should be configurable as to it's
lineout=y/n state

Yes, that should work, although I'd really like the mute to work
regardless, simply because
I don't have my amps xpl'd up :D

Actually, if the initial config were to work I think perhaps you shouldn;t
touch the other code, since what if the output of the rio is far too high
from an amp? at least you can turn it down... and mute would continue to
work...

I'm torn between what's right, and what provides the best functionality


I've just spotted another issue, the rios aren't updating the track
info..(artist, album, track - counter is as per my previous message)
