Three's now a native Tivo OSD app Graham

The old one used to elnet to Tivo, and run the osdwriter app: this one is
actually a native running Tivo Linux app.

here's the hub from Tony's Site:

<a href="http://www.xplhal.com/xpl/tivohub.zip";>http://www.xplhal.com/xpl/tivohub.zip</a>

<a href="http://www.xplhal.com/xpl/tivoosd.zip";>http://www.xplhal.com/xpl/tivoosd.zip</a>

Works a wee charm :)

I put the files in /var/hack/xpl and added the following into my rc.sysinit
(with usual Tivo Hacking warnings!)

ifconfig lo up
/var/hack/xplhub &amp;
/var/hack/tivoosd node0 &amp;

the first time you run the tivoosd, you configure it using xPLHal Manager
(give it a name using the "newconf" cofiguration parameter) use
the same
name you added as a parameter in rc.sysinit

Note also, the OSD Schema has changed.

rather than sending TEXT1= TEXT2= and so on,

send

COMMAND=CLEAR as the first tag, and
TEXT=Line one of text \n Line Two of Text

Ian.
