True, but it's best to have xPLHal (or the stand-alone hub if you're not
using
xPLHal) up and running before the other xPL apps, as the Hub will be ready
to
hear the first heartbeat. Otherwise, you'd need to wait for the first
heartbeat
before the hub recognised it.

You can set up lists of dependencies, i.e. make all xPL services dependent
on
xPLHal, which means they won't start until xPLHal is started - though I
haven't
looked into how to actually do this yet.
