Sounds like there may be a problem running the built-in hub?

Could you download the vb6 hub and launch this first (it should sit
in the
icon tray, and as it doesn't use the ocx there are no issues there).
------------
completed ok
------------

Than launch xplhal
------------------------
launched = xPLHalExe.exe
launched = xPLHalMgr.exe
------------------------

If you look at the hub form it should show a connection in the list
-----------------------------------------------
Window = hub
Heading above white window = heartbeat configs
white window = no text at all?
-----------------------------------------------

Any other standard xpl app launched on the same pc should also show
in the
list

Other results
--------------

------------------------
launched = xPLLaunch.exe
launched = xPLHalExe.exe
launched = xPLHalMgr.exe
------------------------

try adding the following routine to your GB.xpl script

sub launch_config()
strmsg="interval=5"+chr(10)
call
xpl.sendmsg("","TONYT-LAUNCH.GARY","config.response",strmsg)
end sub

Save and reload scripts.
------------
completed ok
------------

Run sub-routine launch_config first then sub-routine notepad.
------------
completed ok
------------
The above script is essentially does the config for you instead of
doing it xplhal.
---------------------
Notepad did not open?
---------------------

Out of interest I then tried running xPLClock.exe, got window
saying "Initailise ocx"

I also tried to run your latest xPLMonitor.exe (xplmon3.zip) after
unzipping etc.

started xPLMonitor.exe but nothing happened?

You do have a different xpl.ocx in this folder?
so i took it out tried again it asked for xPL.ocx ?

Hope this helps?

Gary
