xPL_TIVO not working?

I set up a xPL environment last night on my laptop in anticipation of doing
some 1-wire work over the coming months. All works fine got xPLHAL and the
web front end working also the clock etc.

Tried to get xPL_Tivo going but it doesn't want to play. I can send a
message from xPLHAL and the xPL_Tivo picks it up ok but nothing appears on
the screen. newosd2text work OK from a telnet bash prompt. Any clues, do
I need to change the port number from 23?
