Hmm. If the tools were allowing that before, then it was a bug.

There's two possible values for a "target=" tag in an xPL header,
either
the full Vendor-Device.Instance name of another device on the network,
or a single "*" wildcard symbol indicating a broadcast message.

Hi All
Noticed while doing some testing that for some reason i cant
send an xpl message with the instance wild carded...?? Im sure this was
working before....any ideas..not using the latest version of xpl manager
would be version before these latest updates....
