How about:

An extra optional item in the schema to specify output device,
and an extra config item to specify the default output device.

I run TTS as a service, so I'm not sure how we'd handle multiple
instances...
something we should look into I guess.
xpllib supports multiple instances of services, as that was something I
considered during it's design, however it's never been used yet as far as
I'm
aware.

If you could add the extra schema item, that'd be great, and would at least
allow me to do some testing with multiple sound cards.
