Hi Frank,

As stated previously, as shipped xpldevcom does not pass config/hbeat
messages to the com port (other than the latest version).

If you have vb6 then edit the form_load code to

' set up other options @@@
xPLSys.PassCONFIG = True ' this is set to false in old versions
xPLSys.PassHBEAT = True ' this is set to false in old versions
xPLSys.PassNOMATCH = True

Please can you tell me the date of the version of devcom you are running?

I need to know how old this is, as the new version you are having problems
with is no different to previous version other than the above change, and
therefore there is no reason why you should have a problem.

If however you are using quite an old version, this could explain the
problems with the newer versions. Try deleting all files for tonyt-devcom.*
from the xplhal folders data\configs, data\vendor, data\current. You will
need to reconfig xpldevcom via xplhal manager before you can communicate
with the pic again.

If you are running quite an old version(s) of xplhal and xplhal manager
these might also need updating.

Regards
Tony
