xapax.ocx

I do a lot of my work in vb6 and have always used xapax.ocx which as
far as I can tell is a 32 bit program.  I am running Windows 7 64 bit and I
have tried to register it (xapax.ocx) with the 64 bit version of
regsvr32.exe which is located in windows\system32 and with the 32 bit
version of regsvr32.exe which should be the one stored in windows\syswow64.
 I can not get it to register. I get a dll register failed with a
0x80040200 error code

Is there a way to get this ocx to register, or do I have to figure out how
to use xap without the nice easy to use activex control?

Is the xapax.ocx source available, I could not find it on Patrick Lidstones
site

Any help will be really appreciated!!
