Vendor ID Registration

Hi,
I'm in the process of developing some xAP applications, which
eventually once I get them further along I plan on releasing as open
source, and I was wondering if I could get a vendor id?
My name is Mick Davis and if possible I would like the vendor id
"dr".
Eventually I will post files for download to the website
www.davisres.org.
If there is any other info you need please let me know.
