Voila! I now have name info when there is no contact...
You are a genius.
Side question: what do y'all use for a serial comm library in .NET?
Have you moved to the .Net 2.0 framework?
The library I am using is cumbersome... No event is raised when data is
received, so I have to timer-check it every .2 seconds...
(I think the one I'm using is from a Microsoft Sample App package, but
frankly, I couldn't be sure at all... It's "oh-so-descriptive"
name is
RS232.vb...)
I'm just looking for something a bit more complete without having to
jump to .NET 2.0 and it's SerialPort class.
TIA,

I am using the 1.1 launcher, and with the old, released exe, it
registered with intranet (it showed up in the intranet menu and as an
icon on other intranet apps) but also kept it's own systray icon.
The one you sent offlist works correctly though... And now I'm waiting
for phone calls to verify that its working correctly.
Thanks again,

Right I've tracked this down. It was one of those bugs that stares at
you and is so obvious that it's totally invisible! I'll drop a new exe
to offlist for testing

When you say Intranet do you mean appears in the web pages of other
apps, like tv, floor plan or Intranet as in Intranet Launcher? Assuming
it's the latter are you running the 1.1 launcher? As only that one has
the docking code in it.

Not yet but they must certainly will
