RS485 Network Implementation

  • Subject: RS485 Network Implementation

Hi All

I have just completed work on an RS232 to RS485 converter with buffers and
collision detection using a PIC micro.

I am now moving onto create some nodes that will be xAP enabled (including
LCD, Basic I/O, PIR etc.).
Is there any code libraries (Assembly) already written to decode xAP
messages on the PIC (I have PIC16F84's).
Currently I only have the MPLAB assembler as I have very limited funds.

Once I have a working node I will implement a xAPp using Stuarts's
xAPFramework.net to forward messages to the RS485 network.

Any comments / hints would be appreciated

Regards
Paul Barrett
