Ahhh, now I'm starting to understand all you guys' train of thoughts.
That is clearer.

But the software isn't running on a SliMP3, and it isn't running in
the office. It's a separate application running on my Server, hence
"KCSoft.SliMP3-Connector.Server" is the correct address for the
actual
connector software I believe?
Are we sending messages to the connector application or to the Slim in
your example above. I can see what you're both getting at I think, but
it still feels unnatural.
"KCSoft.SliMP3.Office" suggests to me:-
The KCSoft sofware.
That controls a SliMP3.
That is located in the office.
This is referring to two beautiful and unique snowflakes (;-). Two
separate entities on the network in one address. It seems a little
ambiguous.
I think it feels right to send messages to the Slim rather than to the
connector, as this rids us of a dependency on the type of software
running, and makes things more transparent.

Well, I can still do both - The official way and the installer's (me!)
way for his own use :-)))
