Quick answer to thread title is that if you are using xAP BSC then
source= is sufficient but maybe source+class would work well. You could
alternatively use UID= which is a hex numeric equivalent, this might fit
in better with the external/mutiple systems model JMRI implements but it
isn't very user friendly . If you also expose JMRI internals via xAP
then you really need to use the alphanumeric names as wildcarding might
be used. If you want to support additional schema to BSC then we need
to discuss it more.
Was thinking that xAP Floorplan could also provide almost the same
functionality as PanelPro - giving users a realtime (AJAX) web based
interface to JMRI.
