OK - Cracked it.
I've just disabled the existing Hub KCSoft / xapframework.net and
installed Edward's xfx hub.
SqueezeCentre plugin now works and I have messages appearing on the
Squeezebox 3. So I'm very happy.
Looks like it's time to upgrade my second PC to the xfx hub.
So it's worth noting that there may be a compatibility problem with
the older hubs.
Thanks for the pointers today folks - really helped me narrow down the
issue.
As a sidebar to this. We really like the Squeezebox as a message
displayer (not to mention it's pretty good as a music device). It
displays info including:
- Caller Id's
- House Status info (exterior doors and similar)from Comfort
I've also recently installed Kevin T's Current Cost interface so will
probably also post up power consumption stuff and temperatures from
one-wire sensors.
Thanks
Richard
