Re: Blue 0.1

Hi James

Blue has been running continously now since Friday with no repeat of
the Error 91

I have been away for the weekend and Blue has discovered 13 devices

I now know when one nieghbour's wife arrives and leaves and when the
other nieghbour turns on his Toshiba laptop...
Interesting but slightly voyeuristic. Which brings me to a feature
request, would it be possible to ignore specified devices?
Another reason for this request is that there is one device, which
must be on the edge of the range, which is often seen and then unseen

7 of the discovered devices have an address of Withoutname
here is part of my settings file

Blue=91453779684~01~Withoutname~120~29/06/2008 21:16:55~BT-541

Blue=132541263682~13~Withoutname~120~29/06/2008 19:48:56~<Without
name>

I have noticed that :-
Some of the named devices have a text value of "Without name"
Some of the Withoutname devices have real text values
Sometimes a device will report a text value of "Without name "
when
it previously and subsequently had a name. This occurs on devices
that have a name and also ththose which are called Withoutname

Could you explain what is going on here and the relationship between
the Bluetooth ID, the device name and the text value?

Also what is the value 120?

>From your last post, thanks for the info about selecting the radio
device or having multiple instances, judging by the number of devices
I am seeing, that probably won't be necessary. I see that an
alternative might be improving the aerial, for instance as described
here :-

http://www.dngloz.com/mods/pc-modz/bluetooth-antenna-modification.php

And I think it would be useful to have the ability to turn off the
discovery messages

Thanks

Kevin T
