Hi James,

I stopped FP, renamed the .mdb and then started FP and it seems to be
worki=
ng fine now as I can see stuff going into the database. I guess that the
d=
atabase must have been corrupted way back at the beginning of 2007!

Where would the Log / Events page be?

I've got devices, maps, rooms, scripts....etc. There's a
"Logging" under d=
evices? Am I missing a hidden page somewhere that shows all the stuff
that=
's being logged?!?

Thanks for your help,

Martyn Wendon

Martyn,

Couple of things to try.
First even though the ODBC line looks empty even a space would cause it =
to activate. Just delete the line to be sure.
If you close floorplan the rename the .mdb and then restart Floorplan it=
should recreate a new mdb and recreate the tables. This will test that al=
l the database components are correctly running/installed. (Then put your
o=
ld db back again!)
I've tried the mdb loading and saving on my Floorplan here and it seems o=
k. Is anyone else using the database and not seeing logging happening?
On the homepage under Log / Events are you seeing any error messages?

Hi James,

It's version 1.5.

Northing in the ODBC=3D line and the DB seems ok - it's 157MB and opens=
in Access fine (that's how I saw it had stopped with the last entry being =
19/01/2007).

I whipped up a quick floorplan script that does a SetDBGlobal and then =
a GetDBGlobal and it doesn't retrieve the value so something is amiss

Anything else I can check?

Thanks,

The two things that spring to mind is check the config file and see i=
f you set up an ODBC driver. In which case the data may be going
elsewhere.=
Another possibility is that the DB has either become too big >2gb or is
co=
rrupt. See if it opens up in Access if you have a copy.
what version of Floorplan is this btw?

Thanks

James

I finally got some time to write some web charting stuff to make se=
