Right, plunge taken!

Just installed Vista Business.

These were the steps
Straight install, not an update
Let it do all it's security by default
Let it download all updates... reboot a few times
Installed firefox
Installed the .net2 service hub beta.. Failed
Re-read Edwards post re- the UAC getting in the way. Saved the hub msi as
c=
:\setup.msi . Made a shortcut on the desktop to msiexec. changed the
short=
cut so it read C:\Windows\System32\msiexec.exe /i C:\setup.msi . Right
clic=
k on the shortcut 'Run as Administrator' . Installed fine
In the windows firewall added a program exception for the hub.exe. Stopped
=
and started the service, just to make sure.
Downloaded the IntranetLauncher 1.7 msi
Ran the msi, accepted the UAC, setup finished.Ran the Launcher from the
pro=
gram menu. Program announced it was going to be added to the startup,
click=
ed ok. Windows Firewall poped up. Accepted what it said. Launcher now
runni=
ng.
Launcher now list all the available Intranet apps and receives display
mess=
ages.
Did this as a check not required at all .Closed the launcher, edited it's
s=
ettings file to ensure UseHub is Yes so that it would use the hub always.
R=
estarted the launcher, still worked.

So good news so far. Then I installed VB6 and rebooted. After the reboot I
=
got a mswinsock.ocx error from the launcher /vb6/ anything else that used
