xAP applications watcher / monitor?

Does something exist that will watch a xAP application and monitor for
hear=
tbeats and when not received, stop and restart the app?
If not, can one be developed? Would be great to do this as I=92ve had a
few=
xAP apps fail recently (due to a combination of issues including user erro=
r!)
