If you remap the IR controls, it doesn't matter what remote they use, it
wont be picked up by slimserver. (although they will still be able to
bugger
it up over the web interface)

Plucked from the IR default file:-

voldown = volume_down
voldown.repeat = volume_down

change these to

voldown = xap_volume_down
voldown.repeat = xap_volume_down

and you have buttons which are no longer recognised by slimserver, but
which
are still given distinct xAP messages. The xAP connector will even include
the player name in the source address, great for zoning applications :-)
