xAP on Lantronix MSS-100

Has anybody tried to use the Lantronix SDK to get the MSS-100 to talk xAP?
Or anything else for that matter. I was toying with the idea of
implementing
the X10 xAP schema on it so that an MSS-100 coupled with a CM11 could be a
true network enabled X10 interface. This would be a more truly distributed
approach than just using the MSS-100 as a remote serial port to a PC
running
a xAP<->X10 connector.
