Actually, thinking about this what is really needed is some sort of
GUI/wizard to write the plugin for us. Something to create and edit
the directory structure to be created and browse and select a
suitable (prewritten) xAP text file for the required action.

Is this something to put the slimp3 perl users? They're a familiar
with slimp3/perl and wouldn't need to know about the inner workings
of xAP (it is really just referencing to files outside the server
software).
