POP3 email Monitor application released!

Hi Folks,

I've uploaded a brand new xAPplication or two to my site.

The POP3 e-mail monitor checks multiple POP3 mailboxes for new emails.
On finding some it sends out Mail.Incoming.New messages. This is
exactly the same as Patrick's version of this application which he
wrote ages ago. However there's a problem with it if you have a long
username you use to login to a POP3 host so it simply doesn't work for
me.

The xAP schema for these Mail Notification messages is available on
the xAPAutomation.org site and is exactly the same as that which
Patrick uses albeit with a few extensions. Full details of the schema:

There is also a partner application to this POP3 Mailbox Monitor. This
is called "New e-mail OSD" and it picks up these new mail xAP
messages
and builds some TiVo/SliMP3 OnScreenDisplay xAP messages as output.

I've uploaded a new build of TiVo YAC which listens for these very
same OSD messages and routes their content to a YAC listener running
onboard TiVo. This version actually queues the messages so that each
gets a fair turn to be displayed.

Unfortunately Kenneth Watt's excellent YAC setup guide appears to be
lost for the time being :(

And of course if you're running my SliMP3 Connector application then
it will also display the new email alerts, although it doesn't queue
up messages just yet like the TiVoYAC does. That's imminent:

Lastly, in amongst all of these updates there's a small update to the
xAPFramework.net to support the mail schema and a few plugin fixes
along with it.

PS - still testing it all really, but it works well with
www.RapidHoster.co.uk and had nothing to do with the loss of access we
suffered at the weekend, honest! :-) I was worried for a bit though...
