xAP-CM12U under Windows 2000....

Just a quick application note.

I have Patrick's X10 connector working on a new PC. Like last time,
it was tricky. Unlike last time, I took better note of what I was
doing.

The trick is to be VERY careful with the port settings BEFORE you
start the xAP software.

The serial port in question needs to be set as:

BPS: 4800
Data: 8
Parity: None
Stop Bits: 1
Flow Control: HARDWARE

It's the last one that gave me all the grief. 4800,8,N,1 is fairly
common, and I'd got that right... but flow control - hardware isn't
wildly normal :-)

Regards,

Mark
