Whole House Audio Schema

  • Subject: Whole House Audio Schema

Hi Folks,

I've been busy in the last few days implementing complete xAP/SliMP3
support for my Whole House Audio (WHA) schema proposal. This is now
v2.1 as I've also updated this document to reflect any changes I came
across when trying it out.

My xAP/SliMP3 connector application (coming v.soon) now completely
supports all functions described in this document that it can.

xAPFramework.net now includes a large set of classes that offer
complete encapsulation of the schema desribed here. This makes writing
apps that send out correctly formatted WHA xAP messages very easy. The
SliMP3 connector heavily depends on these classes for instance.

Now, there are bound to be changes to the schema that you folks can
suggest, but this at least gives me a basis to actually try it out.

There are a few question marks in the document. For instance, I can't
fully decide whether to put the Shuffle and Repeat commands in the
Transport class. I have left them in the Playlist class for now as
that feels slightly more natural.

Feel free to suggest any changes you think need applying or if it's
complete rubbish!!!

Updates to xAPFramework.net and my xAP SliMP3 Connector application
will be uploaded very shortly - I need to repackage several downloads
which will take a while as there are a lot of new source files.
