Hi Pete
You should consider Samsung SmartThings as your starting point perhaps -
zWave + zigbee + many third party "device handlers" for e.g.
SonoOff,
Philips Hue etc.
Add in Active Tiles for your CCTV, Alexa for voice control.
Re. Dimmers - look at Qubino zwave modules + varilight momentary pushbutton
faceplates. You should have no problem getting four gang dimmer into a
double faceplate, but the Qubino modules have a relatively low power
rating. The modules can also be located elsewhere if required. Fibaro do
some equivalents which do not require a neutral feed, but are less flexible
in terms of the bulbs they can drive. You can slave the modules ad-nauseam
I believe.
Heating/hot water & per room control is easy, and cheap as well if you
use
Mi Home zigbee temp sensors from China. Boiler integration depends on the
specifics of the equipment you have, but is totally doable.
It's quite amazing how off-the-shelf all this stuff is now after a 5 year
hiatus.
