Just a quick point in case you haven't come across it.
I believe I read in one of the reviews of the echo/dot that it is possible
to change the *default* music service away from amazon prime, which removes
the requirement to say the "from spotify" bit of your command. If
you change
your default music service to Spotify, you should just be able to say
"Play
songname/playlist" - possibly even higher WAF?!?!
Not got mine yet, - waiting to see what Santa brings. :)

I'd agree with others on Amazon Echo or Dot.
Wife loves you can just say "play songname/playlist name from
Spotify" and
off it goes! No searching, pairing, syncing etc
Sometimes it does take a few attempts to recognise the more obscure act
names but both wife and daughter enjoy interacting with it.
If you have the Spotify app, you can also choose the Echo/Dot as a device
and control the music that way if you prefer.
Cheers
Neil

Any ideas for a good solution appreciated folks.
Thanks
