Peter,

Another potential solution if you can get a cat5 wire to it is to use the
R=
S485 board that's available for that Inverter. We had one fitted
(Bluetooth=
is still available after fitting) but I never got around to hooking it up =
because after setting up the raspberry pi I found it to be better , more
re=
liable , solution than running the software (sunny explorer) on the main
se=
rver.

Thanks Marcus
Problem is Inverter is on garage wall 20m away with ali foil covered

tion between.
I have been running with a couple of amplified usb cables end to end, but
t=
hat is a bit flakey.
Good idea about usb extenders on cat5. Will try that.

Why do you want to increase it ? If it's simply to log data onto a PC then
=
you could always move the actual BT dongle closer to the inverter using
som=
e USB extenders over Cat5. Alternatively (like me) you setup a Raspberry

with a BT dongle close to the inverter and then have it do the capture (vi=
a PVCCUpload) and upload the data the PVOutput website for graphing.

Hi all,
Been quiet, but I am still lurking and nursing my X10etc, Sonos,
multiple tvs, gshp and solar!
PV inverter question.
We have an SMD Sunny Boy SB4000Tl-20. I believe there is an installer
option to increase the bluetooth power.
Does anyone on the list know how to do it?
My installer, who has gone to ground anyway, had no idea.
Any clues?
Thanks
Peter
