That's right. You can also get Octo LNB's that have 8 independent outputs.

Using Quad/Octo LNBs is generally considered the easiest and cheapest
option. The downside is that if you also want Freeview you need a separate
TV distribution amplifier and separate TV cables going to each room.

Yes. The Multiswitch provides switching for each of it's outputs so that
they all operate independently of each other.

He already gave you the name. They are called 'MultiSwitches'.

A multiswitch takes the output from a Quatro LNB and produces lots of
outputs that look like normal LNBs. It also connects to the TV aerial so
that any of your wallplate connections can be used either for Satellite or
Freeview.
