Not sure on the specific frequency in question, but:

About 6 months ago my Visonic (868) based alarm system started playing up
a=
long with my HouseHeat / Conrad / ELV FS20 based heating controls (also
868=
) =E2=80=93 something was jamming the signals badly, everything was
failing=
, the Visonic alarm panel was permanently in =E2=80=9Cjammed=E2=80=9D
state=
and my RFXCom 868 receiver was churning out data so fast my xPL network wa=
s swamped.

After a week of troubleshooting, involving removing all batteries from
over=
60 Visonic / FS20 devices it turned out that a neighbour was also experien=
cing the same problem with their BT VP1000 alarm system (Visonic rebrand) =
=E2=80=93 it transpired that one of their PIRs was knackered and was
blasti=
ng on the 868 band almost permanently! Once the PIR was given the hammer
t=
reatment, everything returned to normal.....

During the whole time, *all* my Z-Wave based equipment continued
functionin=
g perfectly without issue =E2=80=93 I have about 45 devices in total.

I=E2=80=99m not an expert in RF, but overall I was really pleased that the
=
Z-Wave stuff carried on working where everything else failed to cope!

Does anybody know how susceptible these Z Wave modules are to RF
transmissi=
ons?
I'm thinking of my situation where I have a 430MHz transmitter operating,
t=
he second harmonic will be on 860MHz and I'm just wondering how they would
=
cope.

Thanks

Tracey

I second the use of Fibaro modules - it's great being able to retain stan=
dard, familiar wall switches (especially for guests!), although they need
a=
neutral wire, so I install them behind the ceiling rose, rather than behin=
d the switch (this also means I don't need to dig out deeper back-boxes)
