If you can, then you must! They also install an interstitial
plate (or they did with mine) which makes the master socket a bit thicker
than usual. In that that output from the VDSL modem is ethernet
the master socket needs to be close to your router/switch or you need
hidden data wiring. My BT engineer moved my master socket to be
the extension in the study which was much more convenient - it entailed a
bit of crimping behind the other 2 sockets but nothing cosmetic.
No down time as I recall - may have been an hour or two.<br>Speed and
reliability are amazing, I would recommend it without hesitation.
