Re: New BT Line.
Hi Rob,
Normally you'd do a working line takeover. This would(/should) only fail
if the unknown person the line is currently being billed to objected.
BT may be using confusing terminology, you may never get to find out
what they actually end up ordering, but unless there's some clear reason
to keep the existing line active I would expect the engineer that turns
up would reuse the existing line and master socket. Otherwise (as long
as there's a spare pair) I'd expect them to just put a new socket
adjacent to the existing one using the existing cabling.
