Command line UPnP control point? (or another UPnP EventGhost alternative)

I have an HTPC in the living room, controlled with a radio remote by
EventGhost. Then I have a UPnP internet radio/player, Philips WAK3300, in
the adjacent kitchen.

What I would like to do is to control the player with the remote. I thought
it would be easy, but I'm stumped...

There seem to be no command line UPnP control point for PC. While there are
great control point packages, none of them allows external input other than
keyboard and mouse. I also cannot think of any other way that EventGhost
could control the UPnP device.

Any ideas?
