How geeky are you? Geeky enough to have a central server feeding data
to XBMC around the house, and all your phones connected via VoIP?
Chuck an Elgato box into the mix to feed live Freeview/Satellite onto
the network, and you've got AV everywhere using Cat5/6 and TCPIP :-)

That's my hints and advice all spent :-)
