Depending how much tinkering you were willing to do, I can imagine it not
being too difficult to wire those LED replacements so that the wires inside
feeding the LED are coming DIRECT from the pins. That way you can use any
LED driver, and have full dimming capability (usually via PWM). It just
depends how much you want them to dim I guess.
