If you can dismantle the laptop, there are dozens of touch screen
overlays
available on Ebay.
Only 2mm or so thick, can be overlaid onto a laptop screen and the bezel
replaced to hold it in lap.
Connect by USB and acts like a mouse. It's been on my list of things to
play
with for a year or so.
