Bye Bye Standby or Home Easy?

I'm looking to put a bit of automation into the new kitchen on a tight
budget (gone over budget - doesn't everyone!)

What are people's thoughts / experiences with Bye Bye Standby and Home
Easy?

Any significant differences between the 2?

Anything better than these at a similar cost?

Looking to do just on/off with a simple remote at this stage for things
like
LED strip lights and radio.

Thanks

PS Needs to be wife friendly!
