Re: Bayonet fitting LED bulbs.

I haven't tried these bulbs so I cannot comment on their brightness,
but
I have got GU10 LED bulbs in the kitchen.

I initially tried one in warm white and was pleased with the result
given my previous experience where the light had a blue tinge. However,
when I bought the bulbs for myself, I ordered cool white by mistake.
Initially I was unsure about the light colour, as it is a very bright
white and looks alien in a home environment when switching from tungsten
filament bulbs.

Now though, I think the cool white in a kitchen (or even bathroom)
provides good light for places where you want to be able to see clearly.
I still think that in a bedroom or lounge, I would prefer the softer
light given off by warm white. I think it is more pleasing and basically
is similar to what people expect the light colour to look like. The cool
white can appear a bit harsh and clinical, more akin to a hospital or GP
surgery.
