RE: Windows 7 Mediacenter
Thanks,
MC won't run over RDP :( I guess VNC would also be too slow.
I guess I could move the 360, but as a geek, I was hoping for a geek
solution :) It just seemed so logical to be able to fire up W7 MC on my
office PC and connect to the W7 MC in the lounge! I now have to re-think my
strategy as the MC PC was due to go in the garage with a slim PC in the
lounge, I won't get away without live TV in the lounge. Looks more and more
like I need to get that MythTV solution running and ditch Windows.
I guess I could also sit on my parent's bed in the early hours of the
morning, but it's been over 30 years since I last did that!
I have a 2nd HDD in the PC so I might try and get the MythTV solution
running, but not sure if I have enough free time between now and then.
I may be able to find the aerial feed as it goes into the loft and see if I
can run a cable to the office and try a DVB-T, I get nothing on an indoor
aerial as we're in a pants reception area.

A remote desktop / VNC type solution? But perhaps this would be too slow
for
a live video feed?
Or temporarily relocate the 360?
Or an a/v over Cat5 solution? (KAT5 from Laser, lots of other options in
CPC, Keene etc.)
2.4Ghz video sender from Argos, etc.
What inputs does the office screen have?
Cheers,
Tim.
