RE: Windows 7 Media Center & BluRay Rips

I've a recollection from when I set up mine last year (still running
RC, so
will have to rebuild in the next few weeks), that 7MC still doesn't have an
AC3 codec built in, so you have to install a 3rd party one... perhaps
that's
the cause of your no sound issue?...

Subject: [ukha_d] Windows 7 Media Center & BluRay Rips

Just finished a rebuild of my HTPC following its untimely death on Xmas
Eve.

Now running Windows 7 and have to say pretty impressed - very smooth
install
and as of last night have got everything up and running.

I dont intend using it for its Media Center facility as i have Popcornhour
C200 for movie playback, but whilst having a play as you do, found that
Media Center indexes and will play BluRay rips (.ts files) with some degree
of success. This is without any specific bluray software installed.

I found a number of .ts the played fine, a few had no sound, and a few
sound
but no picture..

Perhaps this is general knowledge, but it suprised me :)

Dean.
